Scott, I am very sorry to hear this. My wife suffered a seizure and brain tumour four years ago, and she was lucky to survive. It is a frightening thing. Hold your family close, and look after yourself too. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers
She will be going to radiation TX this afternoon.
Looks like its about 3 to 4 large tumors and several lesions on the base of the brain.
I will find out more when the doc gets here to take her for rads.
Thanks again everyone

Kiltedfirepiper:
My brother, I grieve with you. December 13 (a Friday no less) of 2003 I found my mother dead on the floor of her home, my father died 18 months later, I was crushed for a couple of years.
Here's the bad news: It never stops hurting.
Here's the good news: You get used to it. Maybe that's bad news too.
At my worst, at my least, at my lowest, I reminded myself that this has happened to millions, billions, of people. It hurts and it ain't fair and it ain't right and it makes me want to break the world and I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face as I type this because now I'm worried about you, oh my brother, and your Mom and your Dad and your kids and here's the really horrid thing you have to be strong, oh my brother, you have to be strong for your Dad and your Mom and your kids and your nephews and now it's time for you to stand up, now it's time for you to lace your boots up and have the gut check and all the other miserable stuff that people tell you to do when all you want to do is break the world and lie there crying (don't ask me how I know).
God's love be upon you, oh my brother, and your family. If you're not a Christian or if you're an atheist I hope you will understand that this is sincerely meant, and I hope you're not offended. If you want to lash out, feel free. (I know I did.)
Know too that we love you, and that we grieve and mourn with you, for No man is an Island, entire of itself;
every man is a piece of the Continent,
a part of the main. And therefore I never ask for whom the bell tolls, for I know it tolls for us all.
Most sincerely,
Lewis Ballard

Thanks Scott (a/k/a - KiltedCOWBOYfirepiper) for sharing this news.
Your post was so raw and genuine. We can feel your pain and gladly share whatever part of that that helps. It took a lot of courage to open up to everyone here. This my friend is TRUST. It is a wonderful characteristic and one that will do you well in the coming months.
Please let us help in what ever way we can.
Peace,
Scott

I also lost my father to cancer about 10 years ago. We'll certainly be thinking about you and your family in this difficult time ahead.

KFP,
First of all, thanks for the trust which you have extended to us as your online, "extended family" in sharing your grief and concern with us. We are truly honored.
My parents are still around, but we've had several challenges . . . heart attack, less serious cancer than what you're facing, nasty falls and broken bones. We also see them aging quickly, and becoming more frail (Dad will be 83 this year, Mom 80). I, too, am close to my parents. I feel numbness as I've read your posts. Lewis and others have expressed (at least some) of what I am unable to find adequate words to express.
I add my thoughts and prayers for you and your family also. I will also offer to be a listening ear should you desire that; you can PM me.
Mark
