Some women just get this weird thing about weddings - like everything has to be perfect, unique, wonderful - they put so much effort into it, they lose weight, they make everyone involved want to throttle them.
Usually they have a gazzillion photos taken, by two if not three professional photographers, and put their future financial stability at stake by spending money like water. I think they are known in the wedding trade as Bridezillas.
Maybe it is nerves, maybe it is a form of insanity.
I certainly can't explain it.
I notice - it's too late to quote - 'its not a jelousy thing' - ah, now - well - you know that thing about men never being right?

Thanks a million for starting my day with a laugh!!

Never, ever, say this again. Do not think it, do not read it again. It is like the f word, f_t. Any question with the f word, just have a coughing fit and leave the room. Focus on the coughing. Focus.

She said that! not me! lol
every things all good. now, she just has to pick a different dress, I dont care what dress she settles on, thats her thing, I just thought the whole situation was madness. After the initial freak out, she was laughing about it and stuff.
She knows me and the ex keep in touch, she doesn't care. Shes not totally irrational, just typical female irrational lol ( NO OFFENSE TENDED TO THE LADIES OF THE GROUP ) She knows were just friends and thats it. We never should have been anything other than friends, (its a long story that Im not going to get into in here) we figured out early on that we were meant to be best friends and not a couple so we went our separate ways. thats why we're still friends now. My fiancee knows all that and is fine with it. Really, the only issue was the dress. believe it or not, thats it. We're laughing about it now, and when she saw the pics, she made me email the ex and tell she was an idiot for not keeping in touch better. Its thats simple. I figured the group might get a bit of a laugh out of the story so I shared. Everthings all good. Were madly in love, all that mushy stuff. I know shes not after anyone else, and she knows Im not either. Its just that that dress coincidently was pretty close to the other.
As far as the kilt thing, Im wearing my clan tank, as is my brother, and hopefully my father . thats not open to debate, never was lol shes great with the kilt thing. She loves them. Infact I pointed out in the wedding pics, that the girl my ex married wasnt wearing a kilt, she was wearing trousers. So our wedding was going to be different anyways. And yes, you guys read that right, my ex-girlfriend married a girl. So, if my ex and my fiancee are to ever meet, and yes, I do think that will happen some point in the future, Im the one who should worry lol

Well, that changes the gravity of the situation all together!
Oh, and for your sake, I certainly hope your ex and your current fiance don't prove to have IDENTICAL tastes, or you really are doomed.

Oh! and in my own defense, so you guys don't get any funny ideas or anything, she liked girls way before I was ever in the picture. She had girlfriends for years. So it wasn't like I was so terrible she swore of men or anything like that! lol

I love crazy women. Every woman I have ever been even slightly interested in has been a total psycho and each one is worse than the last. And most of my friends are women, and the majority of them are emotional roller coasters. And to top it off I'm a mischievous, insensitive, sarcastic, snarky, jerk. I have therefore explained this simple rule for them to remember about anything I ever say: "If it makes you mad, it was just a joke"
In your position I would have probably said one of the following:
"Fine, I'll wear it then!"
"But then how I am I going to pretend it's her?" (be sure to refer to her as "it." Women love that)
"Good luck with that. And try not to spend too much." *walk out of the room*
Did I mention I'm single? Shocking, I know....
My plan when I am ready to tie the knot is to keep the whole thing as small as possible. I understand I will meet with heavy resistance, but I can be very persuasive, and if I'm gonna be there, I am going to have a say in how it all goes down.
My first love preferred the idea of eloping to a big wedding. God I hope I can find another one like that.

My wife and I were married at a resort in Jamaica. Beautiful wedding for the cost for two for twoo weeks. Wedding guests from Canada paid ther own way there. No stress, no worries.
FF 12 years later. Yes we checked and that wedding is legal in Canada, damn it!
Dog licences expire, drivers licences expire. Why not marriage licences ?
