Well considering I got my first kilt just over a year ago, and last year I spent Christmas with my now ex-girlfriend,, and she didn't want me wearing a kilt in front of her whole family... This is going to be my first Christmas kilted. Good thing Im spending this Christmas with my family.

This looks to be my first also. Last year I was invited to a friend's home for Christmas Eve dinner. I had thought of going kilted, but since I was going to Midnight Mass right after in a chuch I don't attend, I thought better of it.
Imagine my amazement (and chagrin!) when I got to the church, only to find a man fully done up in kilt and PC right in the front row.
I spoke to him later and learned that he was a first cousin to the pastor, whom I knew only by an Italian surname. I guess he wouldn't have given me any grief about wearing a kilt.

You guys have got me thinking. (That's a dangerous thing.)
I will have to get on the ball and finish my Stewart Black. Box pleats are finished, only the misc. details left.
Maybe I'll also finish my jacket mod.

This will be my first christmas kilted, I had it last year, but I didn't bring it with when I visited my grandparents, This year I'm going to make sure I have it. Especially since my lower half is becoming re-accustomed to the cold.

Last Christmas, my family went to Biltmore House in Asheville for the "Biltmore By Candlelight" tour and dinner at the Deer Park Inn. I wore my SWK Nightstalker, a red 5.11 polo shirt, Harley-Davidson Brake Buckle boots, white scrunched down hose and the only sporran I had at the time, the SWK Nylon Cargo sporran. And a basket hilt sword kilt pin. I looked kinda "Christmas-ey"...

Last year was the first time I did it, though I've had a kilt since a few years before that. I wore my NY Jets sweatshirt because Xmas was a gameday last year. The bonnet was a xmas gift. I'm thinking I might dress it up with the tweed Argyll jacket this year.

Christmas Kilted
Purchased a MacDonnell kilt from Burnett Struth and wore it on Christmas eve and day at my daughters places. First time with the family and well received. It is a very comfortable garment and I will be exploring wearing it more.
