I just realized, they didin't put Troy ... but that's not considered history... even though they found evidence... they kinda messed up the Trojan War in that movie, so many inaccuracies...

    "Public Enemies"

Well, Hollywood is at it again, only this time with Johnny Depp as John Dillinger & Michael Mann (Miami Vice, Last of the Mohicans etc) directing.

Here's more on the film (in progress):

As a tangent, they're filming most of that in Wisconsin, and it's a really big deal around here. I've had a few friends go a audition for a role. They're filming a bank robbery in Columbus, which is 20 minutes north of where I live.

They are also filming at a number of locations that have an actual Dillinger connection, including the Little Bohemia Lodge (site of the shootout with Melvin Purvis & the FBI), the Biograph Theater where he was killed & the jail he escaped from: http://www.hollywoodchicago.com/foru...g-with-christi

    Should be interesting.

So what that list is saying is that ol' Mel needs to get himself into a high school history class before he writes another movie... He dominated that list!

What?!?! Have you actually read about the battle of Stirling Bridge? Or the battle of Gettysburg? In fact, watch Gettysburg! It was very accurate- and exciting!

How much time do you have? Gettysburg had its moments, good and bad.
