That's awesome! But you are in Raleigh which is about 4 hours from the Charlotte area. You might get better results by posting in a separate new thread.

4 hours? Only if you are walking.
I can get from uptown Charlotte to the RBS Center in Raleigh, with rush hours in both cities AND Greensboro, in less than 3.
On a weekend, you can make the trip in 2 hours.
Just sayin'.

Taking the Interstate? Because I recall it takes an hour to get to GSO from here. I've only been in the Raleigh area once and that was driving past ... now I am a terrible judge of distance and time. Ok .. I know ... evidently so you must be thinking...
I know it's far enough away for it not to be a viable trip for me.
Nick and Sharpe.. you do not have to worry if we pick a Sunday for it to be a late thing. My work hours just changed... again. On Monday's instead of being at BB&T at 6:30am I have to now be there at 4:30am and I commute from Kannapolis to Exit 3 off of I-77.

Date: Sept 28th at 5pm to whenever. Location. Up for grabs . I still say Brixx in the Dilworth area would be a good spot. But I'm open to suggestions.

Or we could do RiRA's Irish Pub in downtown Charlotte.
For the guy who could have came from Greensboro, NC... talk to me. I live in Kannapolis and to save some of the trip, I could have you drop by my place and you could ride the rest of the way with me. It would cut your trip in half.

Thanks for the offer. However, I am camping this weekend with my Scout troop and have a birthday celebration for my wife with family on Sunday.
Ya'll have a great time!! Maybe those of us further East in the Triad and Triangle can plan something.

09/28 works for me. Brixx would be good. I'll wait to hear. Met W. Burns at the Festival in Charlotte over the weekend. First kiltie I've ever seen in Charlotte! Hope to see you all the 28th.
