I have had a beard since I got out of the Army in 99. I don't plan on ever going without it!

Well, genetics indicates that I'm going to go very bald, very early (hairline is already receding, even at my tender 18 years). So, I'm growing out my flowing red locks as much as possible, as well as a big ol' beard to match. My brother calls it the "Ifro look."

i personally like the stubble rugged look on guys and then add a kilt and it's hard to control myself lol. . . . full beards only look good if you can actually grow a full beard, no white trash/serial killer look

I imagine there are a large number of men who grow beards right after they leave the military. Most of the time it's just a reaction to having had to shave every day for so long, they just don't want to for a while.

I grew one right after the Army in '88 and had one off and on until '94. I have had one since then. I do keep it well trimmed.
