Believe me, once the plumbing is removed, they're useless. Except for the production of testosterone. Which is worse than useless, believe me.
To quote my father, "My life would have been so much easier if I'd been neutered at an early age!"
Thanks, Dad! Does this mean that having children was a bit of an encumbrance?

Be well,

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

You crack me up. I was going to mention that... isn't the reason we have pets neutered, or at least part of the reason, that we don't want them to be full of testosterone (spraying cats, aggression, etc)? I can't see why with pets anyone would leave the huevos in there even if they are disconnected.
That said, I can see why people would want to keep theirs even if they're unhooked.

Well, I would guess that your pet, male dog would tend to not lecture when he barks at you if you have them removed...

And, I thought posting about my rash could have gotten yanked. I'm glad this thread wasn't in the "Show us your pics" forum.

WOW reading some of these posts made me cringe. My experince was the opposite. My doc was pretty direct when I asked how soon I could get back to running and weightlifting after my snip. He said "The day after if you want your B*** to swell up to the point where I have to cut them off." Anyway - I took his advice - put my feet up for three days, complete with strategically placed bag of frozen peas, and got pampered by my wife (who seemed much more happy about the whole thing that I was.) Then I wore the special elastic gonad support (which I kept telling my self was a medical device and not some refugee from a fetish shop) for the requisite period and all was good. Even got a very affectionate wife for a few months. (I think she was worried I felt less manly and she was trying to reassure me, and who was I to stop her. ) Sorry - that was probably just a bit too much info.
