I love the sheep in the parade, surrounded by Border Collies. Bit of a reversal there!

I love the Border Collie myself, although I've not owned one (I like to think my dog is part Border Collie, but I have no proof of that).

Have you seen the bumper sticker: "My Border Collie is smarter than your honor student."?

    Be well,

Our wee dynamos, Maggie and Fergus. They are great companions and nobody can come near the house or yard without them letting us know. They had many people asking to take their pics at the San Antonio Highland Games.

I too love all your photos and choices. As I see it, there are no poor choices. My personal favorite, though not direct Scot descent, is my Chesapeake Bay Retreiver. We lost our first one this past fall and just got a new pup a week ago.

I wanted to name my first son Angus but my wife would not let me. She said get a dog and name him Angus. So we purchased a Black Scottish Terrier. We named him Sir Angus Murray, Duke of Atholl. We visited Blair Atholl on our honeymoon and fell in love with the area. We had him for 12 years until he passed away. I cried my eyes out. He was my best little buddy and a loyal friend.
About three years have passed and my two boys are now 6 and 4. I bought them a Wheaton Scottie for Christmas a year and a half ago. His name is Finnegan.
Scotties are very loyal and playfull. Last week he actually chased down a rabbit in our yard and caught it. He was doing what his DNA told him to do; keep the vermin away from the house.

Our Westie managed to get the family rabbit in his mouth TWICE! Luckily we were able to intervene in time, both times. The little fur bearin' critter passed in his own time a few months later at the age of five, with no help from the Westie.

While not live dogs, I thought that I would add these here:

A couple of prints that I found on eBay. I apologize for the angle - it was the easiest way to keep the glare off.

It's Border Collies for me. My son Ian has 3 and competes in frisbee competitions with them. They're great pets if you can keep up with them.

I'm pretty partial to my English Springer Spaniel, Pyper. She looks good with every kilt simply because she fits well into our family and lives. Springers have a ton of energy and have a habit of not staying clean too long (watch for mud bogs cause they'll find them), but she is a great dog.
