My F series works well with the kilt. There is enough room to get in and out gracefully and it has a cd player for my pipe cd's. Short cab and short bed. The girls think my pickup's sexy.

For me, a Volvo 240 with leather interior. Easier to get in and out of than one with cloth interior.
With respect to the doorless vehicles, I'm not sure if they'd be 100% kilt-friendly, unless some creative tucking was done, to prevent having a constant Marilyn Monroe effect going on. Might have to do some research, if I can come across a cheap, beat up Toyota 4x4 pickup...

This is my kilt accessory on wheels. The photo is the day I purchased the Kia Sportage, it is a picture of a picture- that is why it is not so clear. The beautiful red car behind it is (was) also mine- a 98 BMW 328i. It was not my trade in that day and the leather seats were the best for getting in and out kilted.

I'll stick to driving my Toyota 4Runner, but may I suggest a celtic classic?

And if you can get a model that comes with a statuesque, red-headed celtic queen, you're a lucky man.

My thought would be a Series Land Rover or Defender. Why? It's the highlands, I can just see Jock Scot now cocked shotgun under his arm beside a Hunter Green Series IIa.
Jeep all the way, man. I mean- who doesn't love a Woody, right?

Plus, all the Yuppy fixtures with the Jeep prowess. AND just as problematic as a Landrover, but not nearly as expensive to fix (with the money you save you can put gas in it, too). So, yes, I bought it for the paint. Well, and the fact that I could live out of it if I didn't make my rent...

AND still available with manual transmission, unlike the wimpy 4 door models. I don't want to imply that soccer moms lack macha, but jeepers!

Surely the best choice would be a Morris "woody."

My brother still has one of these---from 1967, last year they were imported here:

Definitely not a bicycle, or any automobile that is difficult to get in and out of (whether it be too small or too tall).
