It was a beautifully sunny day in Niagara and so we ended up with some lovely photos of the rainbow formed over the falls

    Me at the falls

    Catherine enjoying the falls

Some more shots in a bit.

Excellent pics, Glen. I especially liked the butterflies. Did you stop by Fort George?

No we did not make it to Fort George this time, I think that will be in the next trip down, it is an interesting place as well, though I've not been to Fort George since I was a child.

It really is a tough climb in that there is no fresh air inside the monument, so slow and steady wins the race. My Dad actually carried my brother up it, my twin brother has Cerebral Palsy and dad wanted to ensure that Scott did not miss out. Having done it on my own now it makes that effort that much more special.

We got a few shots of the Maid of the Mist, the boat that takes you right into the mist from the falls, Catherine was not interested in going on it perhaps next time.

Then back to some shots of the scenery

A group of Russian Canadians wanted pictures with me as well, who was I to say no?

And now back to the waterfall

There are an abundance of seagulls in Niagara and they were loving it yesterday

    More to come

A shot of the American Falls

    More gulls at play

Here we see the Maid of the Mist going into the falls

Another seagull or two, I really need that telephoto lens

A shot from a bit further away

A horse drawn carriage in town

    This one is for Alex

While we were waiting for the band to start we sat and watched the birds

More to come of the band and the fireworks over the falls.

So we went to see the band at the Coca Cola stage it was a free show, the band's name was Borderline, funny that they could be heard across the line. The way they set up the stage though it was hard to get pictures, they played some Blues numbers we got a few photos and then made our way back to the falls.

Next up the photos of the falls at night and fireworks.
