During the games I took the opportunity to meet and talk with the Irish author "Alister John McReynolds"

He writes on the History of Scots Irish in America. I bought one of his books and have not been able to put it down. It is called "Legacy" and I recommend it highly.

Great photos all, looks like an enjoyable if wet weekend, just a few observations and comments.

If you are worried about the MacKinnons not being there you could volunteer to do the games, Catherine and I can't be everywhere. Here is the Clan Society website that Catherine and I designed.
Matt
Great pictures and report, I really love the tweed kilt Brian Wilton is wearing. Just a heads up Catherine and I are thinking about coming down at the end of the month. I have to go do the passport thing tomorrow, I've got the photo ready. I'll most likely start a new thread about it though.

The more I see, the more I hate missig out on Saturday. I am thoroughly shamed.
But I can assure you, one and all, that if you are so inclined, you can make your plans now for next year. It'll be on the 16th and 17th, and those of us who live nearby will assure you a good time and welcome hospitality. I think we're going to make the Firday evening gathering another annual event since it was so well attended and received.
Since my camera bit the dust on Friday, I want to thank everyone for the photos.
I would have spoken to Matt at the Museum tent, but he was heavily engaged in what appeared to be a business discussion, so I spoke to his lovely bride instead and made my purchases from her. She is not active here, but, as is so often the case with us guys, she is much prettier than Matt, so it was just fine. If you haven't met her, she is a fine lady and very pleasant to speak with.
You have excellent taste, Matt.

Forgive my impertinence but your pictures are too good to miss so I took the liberty of sorting your links so they display here. I Hope you don't mind.
