Okay, finally had a chance to count my kilt hose and see just how sickly addicted I am. Besides, they needed a good airing out.
So, I have 81 pair of kilt hose.
22 pair are my beloved Lewis kilt hose.
29 pair are the standard wool kilt hose you see all the time. They're from various hose knitters but can't tell the difference to look at them.
30 pair are the SportKilt type kilt hose - also known as soccer sox. Wear them for warmer weather when wool is too hot but its still cool enough to wear kilt hose of this sort.
By color have the most greens - 16 pairs in assorted shades of green.
then red/maroon/wine/cinnamon - 14 pair
then shades of blue - navy to royal - 13 pair
and 9 black, 8 white/cream, 7 tan, 6 brown, and 2 each grey, purple, orange, and gold.
What it means to me is that before I knew what I was doing I spent about $1,000 on regular wool kilt hose and soccer sox. Then I found Lewis Kilt hose.
Since I found Lewis kilt hose I've spent about $1,000 on them. I've yet to buy anything other than Lewis kilt hose since I bought my first pair.
And, there once were even more kilt hose but I managed to shrink them in washing and gave them away to the local thrift store so maybe a few Navajo children would have warm legs during the winter.
Addictions are cunning, baffling, and powerful. I never dreamed when I saw my first Utilikilt and ordered one up for myself that I'd someday wind up spending over $2,000 on kilt hose....

Hate to think what you've spent in kilts & accessories over the years!
(Sure beats booze & cigs, eh?!)

Oooooooh, THANK YOU!!
That's what it is....I've just redirected my tobacco money into kilts and my alcohol money into accessories....I'm fine....

They have their own storage in the closet, I've got three of those plastic dressers full of hose.
