That is a candid set of answers to my unspoken question about whether Tartan Day will ever succeed in Scotland itself... you folks there have problems that we over here can never understand. I do think we need it here though, where most every ethnic group has some special day for themselves. And it comes at a time of year when Games etc have been scarce on the ground.
Anyway, the reponses here have hardened my resolve to go to work kilted on the 6th- we have a woman staff returning after a traumatic lengthy absence and are supposed to do something special for her. And what greater treat could there be than moi in a kilt?
I'll also have to pack along a bifurcated garment, since some situation could arise where a kilt would not be suitable attire-which is the main reason I was hesitating.

I just convinced the finacee to wear a tartan skirt tomorrow. Not sure if it's an actual clan tartan (sure ain't MacPherson), but it's a step in some direction or another.
