(Of course he is! And he has posted a picture of a dress in this same tartan in an earlier thread started by CDNSushi.)

Here is a picture of my friend Francois in a kilt in the Quebec Tartan that he made himself.

I never liked the computer generated graphic of the Quebec tartan but I really do like the actual kilt now that I've seen it.

I am quite fond of the Alberta Provincial tartan, although its small sett makes it relatively unsuitable for a 4-yard box pleat (Slohairt and I have gone over all the possible variations), which - in addition to requiring a custom weave for a heavyweight tartan - is why my next kilt will be something else. But one private school here in Edmonton allows the tartan as part of its school uniform, including kilted skirts for the younger girls (only), and other accessories as pictured here:

Surely this has to be included as a Canadian "tartan". Hands up all those who don't have one hanging up in their closet, anyone?

Well, since you ask, I don't.

Jock I'd send you a lumber jacket but I'm pretty sure you'd never wear it!

That is very kind of you Grant, but considering my recent history with trees I think, on this rare occasion, that I agree with you.
