My favorite summer cocktail is a homemade creation we call Elder Time. Quite light and refreshing.
Elder Time:
In an ice filled glass add:
-shot Elderflower liquor
-shot vodka
-1 tsp of thyme infused simple syrup (get it... thyme, time, ..... oh never mind)
-fill with ginger ale or ginger beer
-stir and enjoy

My summer favorites lately have been a half beer, half lemonade concoction known to me as a Shandy, and a nice Sangria (that I got from Costco, of all places!) chilled, with sliced citrus fruits floating in the glass pitcher. I'm going to have to try some of these others!!

I'm a bit late on this, Greg, but I am going to recommend something Panache introduced me to - The Basil Gimlet. AMAZING.

I'm not a fan of sweet, but this is nice and refreshing.
Peet's Coffee & Tea's Jasmine Lime Tea Cooler (or Hibiscus Breeze Tea Cooler), just add vodka. Lots.
This also works for Starbuck's Passion Tea Lemonade. However, with the price of Starbucks drinks, they really should add the vodka for you.

If you can find it (I had to grow it) try getting Lemon Basil. It's got a little extra citrus zing to it that compliments the rest of the recipe wonderfully.
