Where does costume begin?

I cant believe I never realized that Johnny was wearing a kilt in that movie. It just blended right in with all of his crazy colors!

There is another perspective also that leans against most of us wearing a kilt.Back when I was much more active in Science Fiction Fandom and had a few costumes for such, I realized it would be cheating for me to wear one of those on Halloween. Mostly because I already owned it, but also because those costumes were generally of much better quality and of course higher cost than anyone Else's Halloween costumes. I think it would give me an unfair advantage over the non kilt owners at whatever party I went to.

That being said I used to have quite a streak going of winning prizes at costume contests never once resorting to entirely previously worn items. Although I have adapted one simple black ren faire cloak into several costumes.
