Re: The next project: a throwing/pubbing kilt for GGGP!
After eyeballing this fabric for some time, I've come to the conclusion that the hatchet-job I'd have to do on the girls in order to make a liner isn't worth it. So I think I'm going to make GGGP a blouse out of it. I was going to make her a bikini, but she's so small that I'd have to hatchet the girls to make THAT, too. Then I thought about making her a poodle skirt, but I don't think the fabric is stiff enough. So blouse it is.
Now I have to go down to Joannes to get a bit more black polycotton liner material.

Oh no, the pin-ups got hatcheted? Awe, poor lasses.
Hmmmm, can I buy the fabric from you? I'm thinking pencil skirt.

*wonders* is it cool to discuss pencil skirts on a kilt forum? Well unbifurcated is unbifurcated after all...

With reasoning like that,...who would say no?

Pencil skirt, super easy. No problem. NO PLEATS!
Hmmm. I gotta put in a zipper, though. Uh-oh. Something new.

Oh, no...we're still DEFINITELY on for the rumpus pic. It's just that you're all going to have to wait with bated breath until mid-February.

Looks like Kate Burton also wears this tartan. You're going to be in good company. However, YOUR kilt will have more pleats than Kate, and therefore better overall *swish*.
...and that's MUCH more important than a world record of 89 feet and change in the 14 pound weight for distance, huh?
