Sciuropterus was one of the older latin names used for classifying Flying Squirrels, some biologists still use it. It is actually more greek than latin; Sciur= squirrel, opter= wing, so it means "squirrel-wing", a very apt description. They can glide over 100 feet with no problem.

Nothing fancy. Just the Carolina District Tartan ( where I was born and raised ) It is however the tartan of the first "real" kilt I owned. A four yard box pleat sewn up by Matt Newsome.
