My 2 cents:
It seems to me that this is just a matter of semantics and perception. If a man puts it on it is a kilt. If a woman wears the exact same garment it is a kilted skirt. Either way, it is the most comfortable lower body garment one can wear, and it looks good too.

Well.....I was going to say that crotch-length skirts sounded pretty exciting to me but I'm glad that you said it!
Now you can get in trouble and the rest of us can look like perfect gentlemen

Just a first impression but that might be one of the women your father should have warned you about, if it is not already too late.

Bubba, I tottaly agree. And speaking of Japanese clothing, I really like the look of hakama (which are basically pleated pants!!?) there is just somthing about certain articles of clothing that speaks to me.

Hakama are baggy pleated pants. They look great.
Kimonos and yukata (the less expensive version) rock. I am planning to have a yukata made before I leave Japan next year.

I have a yukata that I use as a bathrobe and for lounging around. Most comfortable.

I think that all it will take is a few women walking the streets in Utilikilts for most men to NEVER want to wear a Utilikilt in public.
Am I totally out of line with my thoughts on this? How does everyone else feel?
I was just making the same remark today. I was at the Pleasanton Games tons of female type in kilts some mini's some traditional, some Utilikilts. I do wish kilts would be mens' alone. Maybe we should form a kilt sinn fein.
And yet there are many women that look really hot in a kilt! Ah well life is so complicated
