I think I would have ended up with a ban from flying, because I would have lifted my kilt and said "Do you see anything here that shouldn't be on an airplane?"
Then again, I refuse to fly until the new policy of keeping records on innocent American citizens ends. (Y'all know the one I mean, where they're now keeping track of where anyone flies, how often they fly, etc. ad nauseum.) It doesn't mean much as I never go anywhere anyway, but I can at least state that there is a moral stance thrown in there as well.

The thought crossed my mind but I controlled myself based on the fact that I do need to fly.

I fear our movements are getting increasingly monitored and not just in the USA or when flying.
Here in the UK they want to bring in a road pricing scheme charged by the mile and time of day which means continuous satellite tracking of your vehicle so Big Brother always knows where you are at least when you are driving.
Road cameras proliferate as it is.
Compulsory ID cards continue to raise their ugly head as if we didn't already have enough ID.
How long before some control freak comes up with the bright idea of getting us all microchipped?

I am taking my kilt to Europe. I asked my wife if I needed to pack my tux for New Years Eve, and she said, "You're wearing your kilt, right?" No tux. Herr is happy, Frau is happy. All is right in the world. May even wear it Christmas eve in Salzburg. Will wear it to family reunion in Graz. That ought to stir up something. Pictures to folow upon our return.

There has already been some discussion of chipping all newborns. The idea was brought up after a couple cases of infants being stollen from hospital nurseries.

warning shot...
Gents,
Let's keep the thread to a kilt-related topic, please -- discussions of "big brother" are not germane.
