I'm not going into details, but let's just say it involves a few guys and me in our late teens, booze, a couple of Michigan State Troopers and the county jail. Living in a very small town can lead to boredom and trouble when you're young and dumb.

Were you all Kilted during these excellent examples of temporary foolishness?
The Dumbest things I do KILTED?
Drink way too much, which leads to: try to dance, think i can fight, think i am the handsomest! The next morning i realise that its not me, its the kilt!

Since I've only recently been kilted, I don't have any good stories yet.
HOWEVER, I'm spending this weekend not only wearing my kilt, but also in Chicago durring St. Patrick's day weekend for 4 days. I'll have something by Tuesday I'm sure.

One time after I had picked up food from Jack in the Box I was looking at the receipt where, at the bottom, they were soliciting opinions about the whole Jack in the Box experience. The website was something along the lines of tell-jack.synovate.com. I found myself wondering what the odds were that the person who owned the Jack in the Box franchise in Bryan, TX was named Jack and wasn't Synovate an odd last name? Then it occurred to me that Synovate was the name of the survey site and the survey name was Tell Jack as in tell Jack in the Box.
More recently I got up from my desk to go to the bathroom and when it came time for me to go left to go to the elevator or right to the bathroom I went left. I waited for the elevator, got on, went all the way down to the basement and was about to step off the elevator when I realized that what I really meant to do was go to the bathroom. About this time one of the lawyers I work for gets on the elevator and gives me a look as I scan my security pass and press the button for our floor. At least he laughed when I did the polite clearing of the throat and stuck out my hand for a tip.

I"m going to have to think on this one. Two of mine have already been taken. The dishwasher trick and washing with no clothes in the machine.

Aside from various really stupid driving things in my pizza delivery days, I'm really bad with knives.
When I was a kid, I was replacing the plug on a small appliance. I cut the wire with my knife. The trouble was, the appliance was still plugged in. Zap.
Once while camping I was tying up a shelter from the rain. I was cutting a rope knot with the knife in my right hand and the rope in my left. When the rope cut, so did my finger under it. After much blood and six stitches, I still have a numb feeling in part of my left middle finger.
These episodes were a long time ago. I never do anything dumb anymore - NOT!

I did something really dumb at my friend's bridal shower. I was carrying a trey of deli meats and cheeses out to the patio. Well, she happened to have a very clean sliding glass door.

Yeah, he had a hand in it. I think he's the one who shut the glass door when I went to get the tray.
