Ummm, wouldn't that be as simple a matter as turning the thing around? All of a sudden the inside's the outside, and the outside the in . . . or is my poor grasp of Euclidean and non Euclidean geometry betraying me again?

(The shoes were of normal enough, regular natty wingtip roach spikers. But the socks were of no human shape!)

Not for mine, at least, as I added an extra double layer of material, on the 'outer' edge of both aprons (as in the Art of Kiltmaking) to help keep the aprons hanging better, and less liable to blow around in the wind.

something else, on this thread: in Matts article at http://www.albanach.org/drawstring.htm, he refers to the prtrait of Mungo Murray. When I try the drawstring on the inside, I just can't seem to ge the drawstring to "show", on the outside, as there is too much material, above the belt - however, if the drawstring was on the outside, it would, of course, show, on the outside. Also: notice that the kilt IS pleated across the front!!

There is also a portrait of Kenneth Sutherland, Lord Duffus, wearing a belted plaid that is pleated in front.

So, wearing one's pleats in front has a historical basis!

Of course, I suspect the plaids in these two cases are also pleated in the back.

Tartan seen on Mungo Murray portrait is a good looking one. Would be nice to make kilt suit out of it.

Well you all, things didn't work out so well with my project here, and I have let go of it.
    A couple of thoughts:
I really have no idea if the drawstring on the outside works better. for a while there was a bunch of talk on how the drawstring doesn't even work.

I have no idea because I didn't get that far with mine. I guess if it works on the outside, then do it... You can change it if it doesn't work.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
