I don't wear the kilt daily, either. I like it for special occasions; like drinking a beer at my favorite pub, fund-raisers, Highland games, etc. There's no need to feel ostracised being a bifurcant, Phil.

After wearing only the kilt every day for three years, I'm wearing trousers more and more these days. Sometimes it's just easier, and sometimes I like to walk around the city without every single loony on the street making comments (almost always good or benign comments, but still, I don't know you, so don't talk to me). I always wear the kilt at work, because it's extremely comfortable, but otherwise it just depends on how I feel. I guess I've proven to myself that I can wear the kilt all the time, and now I understand that I don't have to. Still, I have friends I've known for four years who have never seen me in trousers. I have girlfriends (well, now ex-girlfriends) who have never seen me in trousers.
Andrew.

Phil, what makes Xmarks a great forum (besides all the great information on kilts) is our diversity and respect for one another. If you leave us we will be the poorer. Thanks for all your contributions. (For the record, I don't wear kilts everyday, presently just most weekends.)

How true. If you think about it, probably everyone on this board wears a kilt more often than over 99% of the population. So we're all ahead of the game

Sorry to learn that you have the need to tune out, Phil. Your past contributions has helped to make XMarks the great place it is. We look forward to you popping in from time to time.

I wear a kilt every day, have done for four years, only on rare occasions circumstances may require me to wear shorts for reasons of modesty.
But that is me, it's part of me, I hardly think of it now as being "different".

I wear kilts whenever I want to -- well except for at work where I have to wear a uniform. Some days I wear pants or jeans -- like today. It's about having choices.
