Based on this, as long as you have the flashes in the front outer quadrant of your leg, you'll be okay. Wear them wherever it looks or feels best to you. Just make sure you wear them the same way on each leg. We must be symetrical you know.

I say wear them however, they don't typically stay put on my legs anyhow.

I didn't quite understand the placement until I posted my pictures and everyone told me. I put them on both sides of my leg like an idiot, but I couldn't look at the pictures to figure it out. In my mind, I was thinking of the loop straps on the top of high boots, and also the civil war uniforms that seem to have a stripe down both sides of the legs... Racing stripes perhapsI don't do that anymore.

I will dissagree and point out that clock positions are just fine for geometry and geometric measurements.

Based solely on habits ingrained as an 11 year old Boy Scout, my flashes go at 9 and 3.

I try to wear my flashes just a bit forward on my calf so they can be seen from the front. However, I never think of a clock face when I put them on. That's just too much work.

I wear mine at 10 and 2 unless I am wearing my US Army tartan and then I wear them at 1000 and 1400.

OOHH Man! This is getting way too complicated. When going out I wear my flashes at the 10&2. When I go hiking I wear them a tad back at the 9&3 so they don't get snagged in the brush and scrub oak out here. My sgian dubh is always at the 3. No wait.... I mean....
