Ron,
I stumbled, and I do mean stumbled, on this post. Whoever sent you the PM is out of line, IMO.
Sharing experience about kilts and kilt purchases is a lot of what this forum is about. If you check my posts, you will find that I too have recommended Kathy Lare as a kiltmaker, based on my personal experience. Her work is impeccable. This summer my wife and I had the pleasure of visiting her in Albuquerque, and came away even more impressed.
For the record, I learned about Kathy Lare and her reputation before ever joining XMTS. What I learned here confirmed my decision to have her make my first hand-sewn kilt. She is all about making kilts as a full-time kiltmaker.
For the record, I also own kilts (casual) by members and sponsors of this forum -- but, the only tank I own was done by Kathy and I'll go back to her again for the next one. That isn't to say that there aren't other quality kiltmakers in the United States, but she is the one in which I place my trust.

Bless you, Ron; You have a good heart. You do realize that if Ms. Lare was a member of the Forum, that "someone", with the noblest intent, would cry foul, "She's trolling for customers." I would suspect a personal animus on the part of someone who attacks, even in a PM, with words like, "you look a fool" or "No one is paying attention." Also, he or she may be one of the (hopefully vanishing) breed who won't play with anyone who isn't in his or her pirate club. Respectfully, (to Ron) Nehmah-who isn't all that much in tune with reality.

Or telepathy.
And not a very good case of it, judging by the responses here.

Rex.

Well in my book, the opinion and recommendation about a kilt maker from a kilt wearer is 100 percent better than all the self promoting we see so regularly on this forum
just my 2 cents worth

I want to throw something in here... Ron made a comment about a situation, he felt uncomfortable about.. He and another shared PM's about a subject, and Ron, asked a question about his position..
I do not believe Ron's intentions are to create a bad feeling towards this person, since it is not his nature, but to justify his own thoughts/emotions. I hope that others comments against this others opinion, are not truely hurtful. I, personally, hope if another person has an issue with the way I present myself, that they would contact me, and we can discuss my actions, as it seems this person and Ron has done. If I choose to put a question to the forum about my behavior, that the other person's position is not automatically assumed to be in malice..
In my time here at XMarks, I have found people who are willing to help you in every way possible. I have not seen malice put foreward, to intentionally cause me grief. I may not always like the advice given to me.. but realize that others are passionate about their views, as I am.
Please, take this into consideration, when posting your comments.. because we do not need to chastize one another for our opinions, but with common courtesy, put our opinions out there, and allow opinions to develop/change, as the words of the forum are shared..
