Read an article in the Scotsman that stated the graves belonging to Scots soldiers at Contalmaison were vandalised (not the Cairn to the 16th RS though), by unknown persons whom had daubed SS sig runes, swastikas and '1945' on them. The local people were outraged and Scots dedicated to the upkeep of their own were vocal in their denunciation of such a heinous act.
The gravestones are being cleaned up, at a cost. Seems that some people have f**kin' short memories.

See my earlier post that mentions the Contalmasion memorial web site. There is also a great book about the 16th Royal Scots by Jack Alexander.

I know nothing about football and have never attended a game (we played Rugby and Cricket at school), but I guess I am a Celtic supporter.
Why?
Because I have a probably now quite rare Celtic (CFC) supporters' club kilt in the Kollection. Made for me five years ago by Maggie at ClubKilts in East Kilbride, it features the famous Celtic 'hoops':

It is an 8 yarder in a special weave, 16oz woollen fabric with a kilting selvedge and the pleats have one of the best 'swings' of all my kilts - it is gorgeous to wear, but the opportunities are limited!!!
The scarf and polo shirt came from the Club's shop, and were gifted by a true supporter!
Take care,
Ham.

Booooooooo!
Nah I'm joking I had a Man U sleeping bag and hot water bottle when I was a kid. I forget who gave me them as gifts though!
I also had Celtic pyjamas and various Rangers and Aberdeen bits and pieces. Once again - I don't know who gave me anything as gifts!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

In the papers this week, an article stated that Elvis Pressley's grandson is a Celtic supporter, his mother Lisa Marie married an irishman who promised to take is boy to see the Celtic the first time they were in Glasgow, they went to the recent Celtic versus Hearts match which Celtic won 2-1
