I thought the first one was pretty clever, on that same assumption.

Mind you, if we're doing tenuous links, I went for a walk up a hill today in genuine Monarch of the Glen Country.

So here's the Wee Black Dug gazing into the distance, with the backdrop of the Munro Creag Pitridh, beyond which lies, er, Loch Bogle.

It also qualifies under the "Spring in Scotland" category of course.
    Enjoy every sandwich.

This means that panorama type formats would be best.

It seems to me that to do this you would need 13 kilts shown in a line something like this:

I included an X Marks the Scot tartan kilt in the center that I robbed from another post. (for demonstration purposes only...)

Obviously all the kilts should be a different tartan, or if you prefer, they should all be X Marks the Scot tartan. (the second option is harder to stage.)

Another thought: Should they all wear identical hose for visual uniformity?

    What say you, rabble?

I like your picture idea quite a lot, but am not a fan of the idea that the hose would match. It might lend the appearance of "kilt hire attire".

    What say you, rabble?
I say if all the hose were white, you might have a riot on your hands.

Bring it on. The strong will survive!
(Don't get me wrong, I won't be posing with them.)

The more that I look at it I am actually liking the the shot that fluter provided. The variety of the colors, poses and angles makes it an interesting shot.

    Hi

Here are my (first) contributions to the contest:

    Reasons for the design are:

    1. The logo banner should to my opinion have a more modern and dynamic look.

    2. The typography (Impact) has been maintained, but it has been slightly angled.

    3. The Saltire has been made an incorporated part of the background.
The color could be that of the Saltire (1) or the well known XMTS blue (2). The colors might still have to be adjusted. That's peace of cake to change, however.

    4. Kilts should be visualized without making the banner too crowded. If you take a closer look one of the kilts is a kilted skirt worn by a young lady. We are so happy as to have female members here, and to my opinion it should be welcomed by implying it in the logo banner.
The picture might very well be tilted to the left, too and thereby being in better harmony with the text (2).
Other pictures can be used, however.

    The size is 960 x 100 pixels.

I have taken the picture and have thus all rights necessary.

    Greg

I think the text would be better angled forward too... but then, what do I know?
