Cherry would be all over this. I'm keeping an eye out for it this year. Maybe shoot him an email....
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

He'd never wear it, all his stuff was custom made by Frank Cosco (died 2007) who worked initially for Harry Rosen until he went out on his own. I don't know who does it now but I sincerely doubt that Don would wear anything off-the-rack.

Ok... after reading some other posts I can see how certain "personalities" could get away with wearing a jacket like that; but NOT the sort of personalities that Orvis is suggesting. Talk about total misrepresentation. This is Orvis playing the "rich fool born every minute" marketing strategy. Geez-m'peez!

Oh YES they would!
If I were still in my early 20's and out at the clubs I'd be busting out that jacket like nobody's business.
I think it'd be the sportiest thing at any ska party or jump-up!
Although I prefer the Wayfarer to the ClubMaster, myself. But it's only because I've got a HUGE head and the C/M look tiny on me.

If 'brevity is the sole of wit' (thank you, Bard... yes, you were indeed an alien!), then untethered bravado is the seedy underbelly of flamboyance!
Now, I lust after tartan as much as the next kiltie, however... such an instrument of torture is created for one purpose, and one purpose ONLY - to instigate a revolution... or ensure it's demise.

I love the way the blurb says: "Everything about this jacket says authentic" quickly followed by "Four-button sleeve with mock button holes"!

I'd also wear these in place of my 8-hole cherry.
McMartens Tartan boots
But not at the same time as the jacket, never at the same time as the jacket!!

I'm a firm believer that the right person can make anything look good.
A jacket like that can be worn well as long as you don't try to make it a serious article of clothing, and as long as you paired it well with other items that didn't compete. We should hold some sort of contest.... anyone want to pony up the 500$?
