I really like that tweed jacket & vest rocky. One of these days I'd like to get a matched set in Kirkton 581, but maybe I should be more adventurous...

Very nice, Tobus! I love patterned jackets. I've got my eye on several Kirkton tweeds, Rocky!

My problem is all the ones I find are too small (uh, except the one I found 1st time looking). I could swear I found a tweed 36 short yesterday at Goodwill, but I'm a 48R! Maybe as us rabble are out and around we should buy 100% Scottish wool tweed jackets of any size and post them. I thought about doing that yesterday, but didn't. Then VMac can transform them into kilt jackets!

    Cheers!

I REALLY like that all-tartan outfit, Rocky (PA tartan). I think this is the first time I have seen it. One of these days I will end up with one for myself....

Thanks Matt. I like it (and wear it) much more than I thought I would. I even wore it (with open collar and no tie) at the festival this past weekend. There were a bunch of men in jackets, so I didn't feel overdressed.

This is my problem as well- vintage jackets are nearly always in the 30"-36" range, which would have been perfect for me in middle school, but I'm a solid 44R now, and finding a vintage jacket that fits is not
the easiest. A few times I've spotted one that looked good, but it turns out it was still made for a chap who was probably 5'8" tall but rather wide through the middle so the sleeves were too short and the shoulders WAAAAAAY too narrow.

I'd love to find something like Tobus'

or possibly something a bit more subtle in a green overcheck

Oh, I absolutely love talking tweed!

Here are the patterned tweeds from the Kirkton medium-weight range (500 gsm), that I am VERY fond of. There is no doubt that I will eventually have a good number of 'Argyll' and 'Crail' style jackets and waistcoats made up in many of these gorgeous tweeds sometime in the near future. Paired with a smart tattersall (country check) shirt, regimental or pheasant patterned tie, kilt, day plaid, cromach, etc, and you are set!!!
