This week Radford University (Virginia) announced they are having their Scottish Festival and Highland Games on October 9, 2021. And it was announced the Alexandria (Virginia) Scottish Christmas Walk Parade is on for December 4, 2021.

Please understand that the event details still are not set in stone, so we have not opened registration just yet. We will send out another update ASAP as the plan becomes clearer, and we are sure that the public health conditions are such that we may proceed."
So much for the above. Just received this.
"Many of you have reached out in recent weeks asking for an update on the Richmond Games. As always, our priority is the safety of our vendors, clans, volunteers, dancers, performers, and festival attendees. Given the on-going and ever changing COVID circumstances, after much discussion, we have decided to postpone this year’s games. While we are certainly sad to make this decision, we feel that it is in the best interest of everyone involved. Should circumstances change, we will reconsider our options; if not, we will look forward to 2022. On behalf of everyone at the Richmond Games, thank you for all your support, and we hope to see you again soon!"

Sad to hear. A thought, though. While enjoying the festivities in the meadow this weekend, consider a group road trip to Stone Mountain, and our meadow at the foot of the mountain.
Getting the chance to get together for a dram will create warm fuzzies, a great games, a few more drams. A few more, and a road trip will begin to sound like a great idea.
We look forward to seeing you. Again.

That's sad but smart. This disaster will not last forever but gatherings like that are more likely to prolong the epidemic, not end it.
Alas ...
Those ancient U Nialls from Donegal were a randy bunch.
