Andrea and I are in the final states of closing on a new house. Unfortunately, to avoid tempting the movers, I have taken it upon myself to temporarily relocate all of my scotch collection (24 different kinds) to my brother's house until we are moved in. We close on June 5. My brother does not drink scotch.
On top of that, I am still in NY on business, but Andrea is flying up this weekend. I hope to squeeze a trip to St. Andrews, or ANY pub/restaurant that has a single-malt scotch to savor.

I generally have a dram of Balvenie 14 .
However , I recently received an unexpected gift from a gent that I have done business with for a little over 20 yrs .

Talisker 18 . I found it quite enjoyable ... very smooth with a long finish .
Cheers , Mike

A good friend of mine gave me a bottle of Balvenie 17 Doublewood (rum cask finish). We had a couple drams after dinner. It is exquisite - has it all - nose, flavor, smoothness, and finish. I know why Boyd FD (above) uses it as his "go to". But, it's pretty pricey.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
