A lowland dram: Auchentoshan American Oak.

Interesting enough that I'd like to try some of the other Auchentoshan variations. The "Three Wood" in particular.

    Cool

I just picked up a bottle of 20yo Glen Deveron.
    Lots of character!

I've been slowly reducing the contents of a bottle of Talisker 18. It was a busy Friday, so I will down a dram again this evening.

I honestly never really liked single malt whisky. But recently a distillery representative was at my favorite local liquor store and introduced me to Laphroaig. Now I enjoy their flagship 10 year old, and I hold a lifetime lease on 1 square foot of the Isle of Islay.

Picked up a couple of bottles of Arran 18 limited release -- one to drink now and one to hold in the collection for a while. I highly recommend it if you have the opportunity to try some. I served it to a couple of friends after a nice evening out and they seemed to think well of it too.

How on Earth do pronounce that name anyway? I've seen it a number of times but never asked.
    Regards,
    Tom

Also "Islay" is pronounced like I-la. Many of us there that night learned that.
