"Snakes ... why'd it have to be snakes." Indiana Jones.

Snake skin clothing is always high impact ... Hams' new kilt is a great example. I'm guessing this is because practically everyone in the world is afraid of snakes. Taking the very skin of that which makes most folks jump up on furniture and wearing it as your own just shouts confidence, strength and fearlessness.

In Genesis it says that God placed inmity between women and snakes ... out of curiosity, are ladies responding as positively as all us guys to this particular kilt?

That's it. I give. I'll never catch up to Ham after this one! It's absolutely exuberant and I'm jealous! I am up to 35 kilts, including a leather one, but none can match that...

That part is easy.....you just need a larger home. After all, the Kollection must have unlimited room to grow!

You do the pictures so well that if I owned a kilt company I would hire you to show off my products in the catalog.

I recently received my number 10 so I am in awe of your kilts. That will be the last one for quite some time as I must attend to my finances.

Let us know when you get the house with the extra "Kilt Rooms"

OK, now you got me seriously counting 'em. I have 9 UKs (3 Mocker, 2 Trad, 1 Denim, 2 Workman, 1 Survival) 10 Sportkilts (US Navy, a Blue and a Black Stewart, Edinburgh, MacGregor, Gordon, Buchanan, a red/gray/black tartan(in the avatar), Suede, GM Mountain), 6 AKs, 1 PK denim lined, 2 Stillwater (Black Watch wool tank, Stewart Standard), 13 oz trad wool Black Watch, Red Ulster, and Johnston Modern box pleat, 3 King kilts (cords and cotton), and 2 4-yard Bears. Oh, and the leather Practikilt, that's 37! Whew...getting closer! Nothing anywhere near the quality of Ham's Kollection, though. I do wear at least one everyday, sometimes change into another after work. Somebody stop me...!

You should take it flying. Then you'd have... dare I say it... "Snakes on a Plane."

"I may be considerably older, Andrew, but I had only one kilt from 1973 to 1999. The Kollecting thing began in 2000 - only six years ago. So, you can still do it!!!"

Wow... that's a pretty hearty collecting appetite you have Hamish! You must be well into cash, or know all the right peoeple, or both. Lucky you!
So far I am up to:
1 cheapo thrasher, which I don't care about...kinda turned me off in regards to the company that sold it. Other products are OK, but I don't think I'd order another kilt from the firm.
2 SWK economy Gordons (clan affiliated), light, comfy and machine washable, nice for the warmer days
1 SWK heavyweight weathered Lamont... comfy as can be, with a slightly high rise on me.
1 Gordon Red Weathered/Muted (clan affiliation again, and I really like the look) belted plaid...still learning how to pleat, but getting better.
1 Muir modern belted plaid (coming in the mail still) anxious to see, this is associated with a family name.
1 Gordon Red Neo Kilt (in the works)
1 Ulster Red feilidh beag (wanted a lighter garment with respect to historical accuracy, loved the tartan pattern).
Of course the wish list will go on and on... I have a long wish list, as there are many tartans I like.... some of which are non-affiliated/district of course. I am even considering a Neo Kilt with tartan pleat and embroidery, as I don't own a modern style yet (ie: non tartan).

I guess that can be called a respectable start... maybe I'll be able to catch up one day Ham!

You know... I thought the idea of a full mask sporran to match the snake skin would have been a)awesome b)funny...
I showed my buddy some full mask sporrans recently, and aside from the fact that the price tag was high, he thought they were brutal (in the bada** sort of way... blatantly wearing a dead animal, depnding on the maker)... that's just sort of out sense of humour... a little twisted at times.
I wouldn't personally get a full mask sporran, as I like plainer accessories.... functional I guess is the best way to put it... nothing overly elaborate. Perhaps a dress sporran one day.

Perhaps a sporran with some light fur would look good with the "snake" kilt?
    Alright, enough rambling!
