You know,
I often find typos in my posts. I usually try to correct them, as I tend to be a stickler for spelling myself. Sometimes though, I am just too tired to care about fixing a typo or two... as a general rule, it isn't really impeding the communication process. Like other folks on here, I post later in the evening, sometimes crack-early in the morning. The more tired I am, the sloppier my typing gets.

Ok, this is going off of the mention of "axe instead of ask".... oh man, you hit a button there!!
I mean, how hard is it to enunciate an a, one s, and a k?
Another one in that vein:
It's library, not libary.
And *** is up with bling? Anyone else on here despise that "word"?

Speaking of slang, have you seen the Urban Dictionary?

We have now digressed to cultural matters, away from poor spelling or grammatically questionable choices. Bling is bling (flashy jewelry worn especially as an indication of wealth). Granted it isn't a word belonging to the generations of the sixties, seventies, eighties or early nineties, but that fails to make it any less valid than groovy, disco, MTV or ***.
Besides, if we are going to use phrases such as "Anyone else on here despise that 'word'?" we may wish to consider carefully criticisms of such benign developments as recently introduced single syllable culturally rooted colloquialisms that actually do have some descriptive value.

I'll throw in one as well...
What’s the word to indicate how tall something is???
heighT
Few things rub me the wrong way more (okay there are many but few that are relevant to this discussion) than (and yes I know I shouldn’t have split the "more” and the "than' - sue me) hearing heighT pronounced with an added H at the end. Yes, I know we have 'widTH', 'lengTH', 'bredTH' and 'depTH' but it's heighT D&*# IT!!!
Now back to lurking in the shadows...
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!
WARNING: I RUN WITH SCISSORS

The usage peeve on my mind [after recent coverage of hurricane Ike] is enormity. It doesn't mean enormousness; however, misuse by people who work in media and educated people has been so great that, no doubt, dictionaries will soon begin accepting that meaning as an alternate.
