Sorry I don't mean to worry any one .
The order is in I'm just waiting for confirmation on when the tartan will be ready I just though I'd keep the thread going maybe get a couple more folks into the Maple Leaf tartan kilts. Sorry CCGA if there was something to worry you all would be the first to know. I am getting 130m woven at once so I'll have plenty of fabric.

For those that ordered a Maple Leaf tartan just so you are all up to date MM is sending me the final design with colours etc for final approval I'll let everyone know the final date of the weave and a projection of when i'll have the kilts made and out.
Now if there is anyone else wanting a 12oz teflon treated P/V kilt inthe Maple Leaf tartan with a kilting selvage PM me plenty of fabric to go around.

Is everyone's excitement building yet!!!.
I know everyone is jonesing large on this one but we must be patient, as hard as that may be. We have to wait for the fabric which will take 6-8 weeks to make and maybe a little longer to get here. I know MacHummel is excited to get a hold of the fabric and get started. He has been talking about doing this for quite some time, over a year if my memory serves me right.
I know he'll be just as excited to get your kilts out to you as soon as he can get started. The sooner you all have your kilts the sooner he'll work on mine and his own. I know he will be making one for himself. He always does. I'll take one for the x-marks team and go at the bottom of the list. I'll get mine, I know where he lives.

Well, Kilted Stuart, I can only say that I hope you receive your kilt really soon.
Thanks for dropping to the end of the list, for us.
Certainly am looking forward to seeing my Maple Leaf kilt.
Was hoping it would be my Tartan Day birthday gift, but . . . .
Perhaps I should make other plans.

Lee,
I guess everyones in the same boat. Most of the 60-80 tartans are in stock at MM and they are usually fast to deliver over here. MacHummel usually has the more popular tartans in stock and a few he's making for himself or making up for show kilts for highland games. The Warrior tartan was one. He wanted to make a kilt out of it and it suddenly got popular once a few people saw it made up. The orders came in and he quickly went through a good sized bolt. But again those tartans only take a few weeks to get over here.
When you order a custom or non-stock tartan I'm sure it takes a while to set up the colors and release a first off to check quality of the run and have it approved by the person ordering. There usually a few options on size of the check pattern and size of squares for sett or stripe size. Once they set up and start the run it won't take long. Then they will have to send it over.
Once they send it to CCK it won't take him long to make them up. Some ordered are 5 yrd kilts I think so he'll knock them off fairly quick. I'm sure he has the order of delivery all set. As he makes them he'll send them out. Like I said he's been wanting to do this for quite some time. He'll want everyone to have there kilts to enjoy it for themselves. That's why kilt makers do what they do. They like to know people are enjoying there product and wearing the kilt with pride.
