Here's the one I pick for general use. Dressy enough for most occasions but with minimal "glitter", it works OK for daywear. And since I made it myself, not too expensive! ![Razz](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Sorry it's hanging a bit askew. My photographer wasn't too observant.

Here's my 'coon skin sporran.

It's not clear in the picture, but the tail is attached to the flap and keeps it closed. It's roomy, different, and always gets lots of comments. Dogs like it, too.

I hope I'm too late to the party and can add this one to the list! I won it on ebay earlier this week and it arrived in yesterday's mail. The color is more of rusty type of brown and it works real well with my Irish saffron Stillwater.
For Ron's benefit is it is 8 inches by 8 inches by 2.5 inches thick.

I have but one sporran, pictured here. As a newbie myself, I have the same queation and am already looking to expand my collection, as soon as I figure out a way to store them.

With spike in closure...

Without the spike so you can see the detail on the flap.
I really like the coon-skin sporran. It would be fitting as I am from Southeast Arkansas

...Where did you find this one? I don't yet own a formal sporran; and, that looks like it would fit the bill---I have a fondness for skunk.
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.

Turpin's on vacation, so I'll take the liberty of answering:
Turpin made that one himself, and it is a very nice sporran (I've seen it in person).
He's actually making a similar sporran for me using a fox.
