See my earlier post that mentions the Contalmasion memorial web site. There is also a great book about the 16th Royal Scots by Jack Alexander.

I know nothing about football and have never attended a game (we played Rugby and Cricket at school), but I guess I am a Celtic supporter.

    Why?

Because I have a probably now quite rare Celtic (CFC) supporters' club kilt in the Kollection. Made for me five years ago by Maggie at ClubKilts in East Kilbride, it features the famous Celtic 'hoops':

It is an 8 yarder in a special weave, 16oz woollen fabric with a kilting selvedge and the pleats have one of the best 'swings' of all my kilts - it is gorgeous to wear, but the opportunities are limited!!!

The scarf and polo shirt came from the Club's shop, and were gifted by a true supporter!

    Take care,
    Ham.

haha. Great Hamish... I never saw that one coming (your hoop'd kilt!)

I have seen a few Celtic supporters at home games in the hooped kilt, probably more popular when they travel abroad in Europe, so look out for the hooped kilt in Hamburg, Israel(they were there a few weeks ago) and Vienna.

Got to admit one of the best football tartans is the Jambos but I hate to admit anything good about that mob, just love to beat them!-

Lol. I like both the Celtic and Hearts tartans... I think Rangers' is too plain and Hibs' purple can look good depending on the mill's purple.
The St. Mirren tartans pretty nice... This is the best pic I can find of it:
