You are, of course, entitled to your own particular dress preferences. Perhaps, however, you could consider a floral print or some other more feminine pattern in line with your particular outlook as a transvestite. I take it that you do not actually share a Scottish background where an affinity to a kilt has nothing to do with being a transvestite. I do understand, however, why such a site as this can seem attractive to those seeking to adopt a more unconventional approach to dress. In fact, if I am not mistaken, many contributors here have previously belonged to gay and other websites where their particular dress choices may not have appeared exceptional. I do feel. however, that this site is specifically directed towards the male wearing of the Scottish kilt which is not regarded in any way as "effeminate" or "cross dressing" in its proper social context. If others wish to deviate from this then that can only diminish its worldwide symbolism as a Scottish icon.

I find humour in the post to which Phil has offered his rebuttal.
I do completely agree with Phil. Add one Kyleism.

I wouldn't use that crack, even as a joke! Strangers can overhear you and get the wrong ideas. We get enough guff from morons anyway.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I do agree 100%! I am wearing a kilt because I am proud to wear it! If I make a joke out of what I am wearing that means I am making a clown of myself which is not my goal. How can we expect respect from others if we do not respect ourselves first by taking pride in the kilt we are wearing?

I will add that unfortunately, men have become the buffoons of society in many instances in this day and age!
