Celtic Themed Tattoos

I had a similar image in mind for my tattoo, but decided to go with just the badge (garter and crest) in black, which in on my right shoulder. I'll try to remember to take a picture and post it.

Not Celtic, but I've got a few. My first was when I turned 18, the head of the wolf. I wanted it since I was a child. My father had several tattoos from his military service and I used to make my own with markers when i was a kid. He was taken from this world when I was 11 and I did this as a tribute to him and to help me heal a bit.



I drew the wolf as a pencil drawing in art class and it's on my mom's wall back home. He symbolizes one who's alone in partial darkness, he has the light of the moon and he's accepting of that and feels safe and loved, but he's without part of his life. The light that makes the next day of his life complete. Sort of one parent guiding, nurturing and doing a fine job to boot (I'll love and admire her forever for it) but still not the full guidance of a father. The howl is a call to regroup the pack and to be a family again.

The arm band was added 13 years later and is also of my own hand. I had finished a messy divorce the year before. Spent a year of very self destructive behavior. Wine, women and song with a few fast motorcycles thrown in for good measure....all in extreme excess trying to figure out why my ex left me for another man and alleviate the pain. Anyway, I met a woman that I fell in love with and she gave me a reason to give a rat's **** again. A reason to get back on an at least somewhat normal path in life. There was still wine, song and bikes, but all in moderation and only ONE woman. So I wanted something to remind me of what I'd been through, survived and was headed in the right direction again.

When I next have time, there is a small spot where the paths start about an inch wide on the back of my arm. That is going to have a very small angel in it someday to symbolize our son.

Iñaki, very impressive tree of life!

All the tats are cool. I've toyed with the idea of getting small one in a easy to conceal area. Not going to do it any time soon, and I need to find something I could be happy with for the rest of my life.

True that! I absolutely loathed my chest, but I have to screw up the courage all over again, as I plan to cover up the garbage that's on it with a complete chest-sized clan crest, with the stag's antlers coveing the chain around my neck. Yeah, soooooo looking forward to it!

AH! It all makes sense now. Guess I should have requested a close up before such a generic guess. That looks really good, I dig it. The closest I've come to my face is the underside of my chin, some of it creeps onto the jawbone. Freaking ouch. I don't think my **** touched the chair much at all during that one!

lol just have a solid black heart on inside of ankle left leg(sneaky little thing hides alot).have a knotwork piece i want and i actually ran across a linguistic (cant spell)professor few years ago wrote my childrens names out in aramaic (the language Jesus spoke when he was here)want on back of neck or on shoulder.They just made tats legal here few months back.My uncle had his back on front cover of Tattoo magazine before he died about 4 years ago.Want a copy of that lol.
