Colum Cille was the Gaeiic name, Columba the Latin one.

Since I am a Cajun "by the ring and by the back door", and Scottish by heritage, hence cajunscot.

Mine is from my initials (Jay R. Barron). I belong to a couple other discussion forums that insist forum names be either your real name or your initials. I'm so used to that it never occured to me to come up with a clever name here.

my name....well... many years ago, I started brewing Mead... when I had developed a formula that was fit for human consumption I decide I need labels on the bottles...labels need a name to make them look right.. since mead making is part art, part science and part magik (a lot of the history of mead was passed from master to pupil along with a Magik stick that would cause fermentation.. later it was shown that the stick had yeast stuck to it..)... MysticMead was born.. I have used that as my user name on several site where my primary user name has already been taken (kaelan).. mysticmead is also the name of my brewing website...
those that know me also call me Ric

My name was chosen for me during a particularly rowdy night at the Devil's Canyon Brewery, prior to actually signing up as a member of our illustrious site. Originally it was The Flame-Haired Bloodthirsty Celtic Amazon Goddess, but for some odd reason, the Bloodthirsty kept getting dropped, therefore The F-H.C.A.G. (I am grateful to w2f for remembering the Bloodthirsty portion of my name most of the time.)
Be well,
