I hope you all don't mind me joining in on this challenge now. I was 95kg (210 pounds) about 6 years ago and then made some slight changes and dropped to 85kg (187) in a couple months. I have since then been making my way to 79kg (174) and then going back up to 85. My goal is to get to around 75kg (165) and am currently at 77kg. I just can't shift the last 5 pounds.
You guys are doing such a great job that I hope that some of your determination can rub off onto me.
Thanks

You're all doing some great work. I may have to jump on this bandwagon...well, maybe I'll step on; jumping may be too much too soon. I'm not a big guy, but for me I've ballooned. Still, I figure I just need to lose about 15 lbs. It's not quite 10%, but like I said, I'm not a big guy. I think it's more about inches, especially around the waist. I think 3 months should be a good time frame for this one.

Last week I was on vacation. With some spluges, I continued to eat healthy. I drank more beer but exercised more which kept things in check.

Late to the challenge, hope you don't mind if I join in.
As I hit mid-forties, everything has decided to arbitrarily increse - blood pressure, weight, LDL, etc, etc. I'm quite positive it had nothing to do with eating more and exercising less.
At 225, I'll aim to drop 10% by New Year. What the heck, call the goal an even 200.
One pound a week. Make my first kilt fit again.
Daft Wullie, ye do hae the brains o’ a beetle, an’ I’ll fight any scunner who says different!

I've been working on losing about 25lb.s for a while now. I was within 5lb.s of it when I took this job away from home and found myself at the mercy of the limited fast-food industry near work....now, I have the full 25lb challenge ahead of me again. But, now that I've found an apartment where I can do my own cooking, I'm back at it. I'm at 250 now, goal is 220~225. At 225, I'm getting a tank..![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I've been doing the low-carb, semi Atkins diet with fairly good success. I've found some good recipes that helped a lot...including one for "bread" that's safe for the diet. If anybody's interested in them, send me your email and I'll send you a few.
Also, if you're on this diet, I strongly suggest you look for George Stella's cook books...good stuff in there that will help you stick with it.
All that being said, I'm in!

Danger, danger, ern malcolm! You are far off your goal!
Succumbed to my weakness for CASS (chocolate, alcohol & salty snacks) last week. Need to get on track the next 5 weeks to savage the program goal. Eating healthy meals, butt snacking is killing me
Maintaining walking program
