The look on "Pup's" face when he realised that the last ball was heading to the boundary was priceless.

Erm... Errr... yes, right you are. This is a 2013 Kilt. It's just spilled over to this year due to the long lead time. That's my excuse anyway.
As for the cricketing malarky.

I noticed Jock Scot conducting a straw poll on how many kilt wearers there are around the place. I saw one other chap in a kilt at the Gabba on Friday. It was too quick a glimpse to notice the tartan, but I did notice he was wearing thongs as footwear (also known as flip flops or jandals, depending on where you come from).
So that was 2 kilt wearers in 32,000.

Doug and Karen were open today, and I was promptly measured up and promised the finished kilt, plus flashes and a sash for my beautiful bride, all before I go back to sea in 3 weeks time. The fabric is beautiful to the touch, vibrant in colour and has a lovely weight to it. I don't think you wil be disappointed EB. The wait will be worth it.
i have asked for the kilt to be pleated to the alternating blue and white stripe. The blue is a sky blue, and I really like it. And yes, sorry, I forgot to take a photo. I will remedy that by posting a picture of the finished product in about 3 weeks time!

Yes, I'll be going for alternate blue / white stripes too. I think yours will be finished first AC. Mine will be on a six weeks turnaround (at the outside) from when Carol gets it and it's not yet arrived at MY house.
Patience... That's what's required Johnny boy...
EDIT: Give my regards to Doug and Karen when you see them next. The comms over my arrangement with them have been outstanding.

I am informed that my "Australia" fabric has arrived in country and is currently being held to ransom by the Post Office pending delivery to them of the requisite twenty eight of the Queen's Pounds in import duty and administration fees.
Apparently re-importing a British made product incurs the same penalties as foreign goods. Nice!!
I don't think the note that was popped through my door was spelled out in glued on letters from cut up newsprint, but it certainly feels like it!

You can pay the customs duty without paying the 'admin' fees. Once the duty is paid they are required by law to deliver your goods. You will get invoiced for the 'admin' costs, and this can be ignored as they never chase.
Pm me if you have any queries.

At last!!
I notice my first post was mid-July last year, so I suppose 6 months isn't too bad?!?!?!?
Well worth the wait anyway. I will post some more pictures once I get dressed to go out for real. I notice I forgot to get a photo of the pleats. These photos were taken last evening just because I couldn't wait to put it on. Very, very pleased.

Looking good! Is the weather up there suitable for a wool kilt at the moment?
Cheers,
Cameron
