    I preemptively bought a $13, 18 inch snow shovel. Home Depot only had about 10 in stock. We will see if I use it this winter or if it scares the snow away and it dry rots, unused like it's predecessor.

    Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

    Still extremely windy, now with more rain! Why do us Brits enjoy talking about the weather so much when it never changes?

    I pirated this off of a weather site a long time ago. Sound familiar ?

    Weather in Scotland

    It rained and rained and rained and rained,
    The average was well maintained;
    And when our fields were simply bogs,
    It started raining cats and dogs.

    After a drought of half an hour,
    There came a most refreshing shower;
    And then the queerest thing of all,
    A gentle rain began to fall.

    Next day 'twas pretty fairly dry,
    Save for a deluge from the sky.
    This wetted people to the skin,
    But after that the rain set in.

    We wondered what's the next we'd get,
    As sure as fate we got more wet.
    But soon we'll have a change again,
    And we shall have..... A drop of rain

    About 1998 they opened a new Home depot near us, full range of stock including snow shovels, they didn't sell

    My report: Dec. 23rd, 2015, 7:00 pm Central standard time (USA) temperature is 71 f, winds gusting at 50 miles per hour with tornados in surrounding counties. Waiting on the call to report for first responder duty.

    It is not the best kilting weather.

    8 am. Christmas eve, call did not come, but will check to relieve the kitchen crew that provides meals to the rescue teams.

    I am hoping my camper is OK out in Hickman County Tennessee. It is a mile off the road and I will not be able to get there until Saturday. I probably should carry a chain saw just in case.

    Its already passed through Nashville heading north east.

    Not a bad idea, as per the news this morning looks like TN did have some tornado action...
