I'm with Raphael, way back on page 4. Why can't we work kilts into our costumes.

I haven't worn pants in 15 months and didn't want to start just for a costume.

Boss said we could wear Halloween costumes to work if they didn't mess up our work and weren't too far out.

So, did same thing I did for the Pumpkin Festival last weekend. Did a black and white thing with my medical white UK original.

Well, I just got back from my weekly bagpipe lesson, to which I wore pants for the first time since ... hmmm ... February, I think. On the way out the door, my instructor said "Hey, where's your kilt?"
I looked at him and said, "Every other day out of the year I wear a kilt. Tonight's Halloween - I'm in costume!"
    He got the joke.

I dressed up as a rockster for work today and my kilt worked perfectly. I put on a black t-shirt, eye make up, choke chain, Docs, leather jacket, leather biker hat and no sporran.

    Serendipity

Interestingly I ended up with a kilted halloween costume twice this year and didn't plan on it either time.

The first time was Saturday. The wife and I went to hang out with some friends who were doing a haunted trail for the local kids. I had on my SWK Lamont tartan as that was just what I was wearing that day. I got roped into playing the part of the wolf-man. Actually it really looked good. The hosts said I was the "Werewolf of London".

Last night the wife and I dressed up to hand out candy to the trick or treaters. We've had the same costumes for the last three years, a king and queen. This time I matched up the costume (purplish in color) with my SWK Pride of Scotland economy. I just said I was a scottish king. The wife liked it better with the kilt. She said it looked more authentic and medievel.

I guess when you wear kilts like we do it was bound to happen. Once again they prove to be the most versital clothing.

Umm... it's not, actually. It's just some random fabric I found in Hawaii that looked "naturally" colored (except for the blue stripes lol )

I'd offer up the 6 yards I have left, but then I wouldn't have my fly plaid. lol

And you just made me spit cheerios all over the computer desk. You're great, lol!

I'm afraid of people saying my kilt is a costme and inapropriate for casual wear. So ... I was a gunfighter, in pants. (But the pleats on the pants were nice!)
