Ah I always shaved my head in the shower. The oil works best when wet and the steam helped keep a close shave. I never had trouble telling where i had been because I shaved by feel not by site.

I use either a Mach 3 or Quattro depending on what blades might be on sale that month. Then it's Edge Gel for Sensitive Skin. I'll have to try the oils mentioned here. I also always shave IN the shower. If you need to use a mirror (I don't) the best one I've found hooks up to the shower head and runs the hot water behind the mirror which keeps the front from fogging at all. It's a lot better than the standalone "Fogless" shower mirrors.

Mach 3 (Tubro or plain) and 'Kiss My Face' Key Lime moisture shave.

I use this when I shave my head too (in the shower, same time as the regular shave). I have sensitive skin, and this is one of the few products that I have never had a problem with. I don't use a mirror, just go by feel (or use the Force) not unlike the technique mentioned by katmills2005.

Shaving IN the shower Now I see my problem. I shave the back of my head by feel, but not so sure about the rest. I'm really scared I'll shave off half an eyebrow. I may try that mirror with hot water running behind it, maybe then my eyebrows will be safe.

Simple technique... I put my left index finger over the eyebrow and shave upwards above it. The same goes for the sides of the goatee. I do a final touch-up in front of the mirror when I get out.
*Note: The eyebrow issue is not a big deal now... I seem to have a lot more forehead now than I used to!

Neutragina (sp?) shave lotion for men. It remeinds me of thin hand cream that makes your skin tingle. That coupled with a Gillette Mach something or other. (when shaving your scalp, you notice, or at least I, notice a big difference in the # of blades)

Nice, smooth shave with zero knicks and cuts. See results below. My wedding day actually.

Yes, we always thoght he looked a bit under the influence. Actually, he was happy mom and dad finally got married. It was both our second weddings, so we did it the way we wanted. The dog was in the ceremony sitting quietly between myself and my best man. We followed the next day with a huge backyard party with about one hundred people. It lasted until 6:30am. Gotta love those good ole' Irish girls. ;)

A Gilette mach3 myself, but I learned years ago to shave in the shower after I have bathed and allowed my beard to soften wit hthe warm water. I keep one of those non-fogging mirrors that sticks to the wall.

And I never used anything with a scent--not even deodorant--because the foo-foo (as my dad called it) makes me break out. Only unscented soap or lather.

I recommend the shower thing if you haven't tried it.
