I'll continue the thread with my two cents: white/cream hose. I love the look of them on most everyone else. They just make me look silly.

Coming in late as I've been away a few, I can't see myself in any of the traditional Scottish headgear. I did just pick up a nice flatcap from my father in law's closet and I may try that out.

But you have no problem wearing the kilt? What is it about the bonnets that puts you off?

For me, wearing a kilt is about comfort and the fact that I like the look, plus I wear a family tartan so it's about the heritage. It feels normal, like just another outfit to wear. However, I feel and the wife agrees, that the headgear makes me feel like a reeinactor. [SEINFELD] Not that there's anything wrong with that [/SEINFELD], but I don't need to walk though the streets looking like I missed the highland games.
Sorry, but the hats just feel like costume to me
And maybe, just maybe...... I do fear the pom pom.

Don't you know? We're not talking about flat caps, it makes them angry!
You don't want them angry!
