Sorry, I'm in the middle of the Game of Thrones books at present...

There's more. But y'all don't get to see until she gives the OK.

    My new kilt: A Review.

OK, NOW I understand what ya'll mean about the yardage and knife pleats and swish. THIS is a fun kilt to wear.
It's much swishier than my others.
The purple in the tartan is very rich. It *would've* coordinated VERY well with the competition tees (which had a deep magenta crown on the front), but alas, I was denied one.

And as you can see, I'm a midget and 14" is a modest length on me.

Now, I just need Alan H to sign it!

Thanks again, Alan, for this FIERCE garment!

Wow, Alan, great work! GGGP, you look fantastic in it, and bravo for the length too - wish I had legs suitable for a shorter kilt, but alas...

    FIERCE - LOL, definitely!

Anyone else get this mental picture when Alan responded?

Hahaha, I KNEW I recognised the tone from somewhere very familiar! Now I'll never be able to see a post from Alan without getting a mental picture of that "dense, irritating miniature beast of burden" (said in Mike Myers' dodgy 'Scots' accent, natch).

And also hear Eddie Murphy as Donkey, inviting himself into Shrek's house:

"We'll sit up late, swappin' manly stories, and in the morning, I'm makin' waffles!"

    Heh heh.

Best line of the whole movie. LOVED that line.

Also, since she posted it elsewhere, we'll close out this magnificent thread with "kilt pic in action". Note the matching flashes on her purple socks. But, of course!

That looks fantastic. Congrats to both you, Alan as the maker, and GGGP as the lucky new owner.

BTW: Has this pic made it into your "Kilts in action" thread yet?
