A few of my own photos from the Games.

Friday I was asked to set up a tartan information area at the host hotel where the Whisky Tasting, COSCA meeting, etc., was all scheduled on Friday afternoon.

Saturday all day I helped out at the Scottish Tartans Museum tent, and I'm afraid I was so busy the entire day I did not get to snap a single photo until the very end. As we were leaving I suggested we get a group shot of all the good people who helped man our tent on Saturday.

From L to R is my wife, myself, fellow museum board member Chuck Coburn, Ronan MacGregor, our Dir. of Operations, Ryan, his girl Mackenzie, and his father, Alan. These folks did a great job helping out the Scottish Tartans Museum on Saturday -- they worked their tails off the whole day long.

Sunday was a bit less hectic so I actually got a chance to get my camera out of its bag. Here's a candid shot of Ronan chatting with fellow MacGregor, Wesley.

My wife had made up some hand knit cuffed hose for the museum to sell, and this pair was bought early in the day Saturday by one of the SMHG board members. We saw him wearing them the next day with his Georgia tartan kilt.

    Speaking of kilt hose...

Our good friend Abby James came down on Sunday to help us out. Here she is having a chat with Sir Malcolm Macgregor and his lovely wife Fiona, who stopped by the STM tent for a visit.

We had a great time at the Highland Games; Stone Mountain is definitely one of our favorite. It was nice seeing so many X Markers there, I only feel bad I didn't have more time to relax and chit chat on Saturday with you all.

    Yodofizzy,
You can find a list of the vendors who participated in the Highland Games on their web site, here:
    http://www.smhg.org/Vendors.html

Also, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but for $125, I doubt the kilt you were looking at is wool -- that is unless it happens to be a second hand kilt someone is selling at a very low price. More than likely it is acrylic or perhaps poly-viscose.

Beautiful pictures, y'all. My brother and I arrived about 20 minutes too late to get in on the group pictures, but I did enjoy getting to meet a couple of you who were still milling about.

Does anyone know who the bearded gentleman is that is behind the two young ladies? I spent quite a bit of time talking with him, but I didn't get his screen name.

Once more with feeling: (l-r) Forrester Modern, Carter (his wee lad), Mrs. O'Searcaigh, O'Searcaigh, Beowulf, Bjarg Jonsonn and his lovely red-headed daughter, Trippleblessed, Dixiecat, Dave Pope,Frank Gordon, me (peeking over in the back), Turpin kneeling, Atl Kiltie, John McKay, Thomas H, Ryan Ross and friend, Mattie. I think that's Chainsaw way in the back, but you can only see part of his head.

I think I got 'em all except for the fine gentleman with the pretty daughter! At my age, that's something! Please excuse and someone send me his name! He had a great family with him.
