Current forecast says we'll reach 72 (F) today in the North Texas area, which will be 20 degrees above average. It's a bit strange wearing springtime attire to the office today. Last weekend we had cooler temps, yet I was still out cutting the lawn and trimming the hedges. I have to admit the weather has been very nice, but I'm ready for winter at this point.
Here is some data showing averages and records for my small patch of the world on Christmas Eve.

The forecast for the 25th is unusually warm 6 to 15 C for many areas strong winds. And for those areas that don't need it even more rain, floods forecast for Cumbria for the 3rd time in as many weeks...
My Christmas day walk on the beach after dinner might not happen, according to norad, Santa should arrive in Norway in one minute. So its time for bed it won't be long before he's here..

We're enjoying winter here. After a dry and warmer than normal winter last year, we have already outdone our total of snow for this season and it's only begun. About 18 inches of the white on the ground, temps in the range of highs around freezing and lows in the 20's F. It will snow overnight about 3 or four inches, then lets us shovel it away and repeat each 36 hours. Tolerable and we are able to enjoy the season without not being able to get around and do what mundane things we need to do. My dogs are really enjoying it also. The cats--not so much.

At 8:13 p.m. local time (Colorado Springs, CO, USA), it is a "toasty" 31* ferenheight with a chance of snow showers by morning.

Steady 40 knots wind from SSE, 8-10' seas and building- supposed to get worse out here in block WR 758, 180 nm off the coast of Louisiana, through tomorrow. My vessel is loaded to the Winter line, that makes the ride better, but the deck washes in these seas. The rig is looking to pick up the 261 joints of pipe on our back deck. We'll sure give it a shot!

The red and white roses of Lancashire and Yorkshire are flooded, and down here in Norfolk its been raining all day. But at 19 ft above sea level I'm on a Norfolk mountain and should be OK.

Judging by the post, you are all right. Glad to read. Trying to reach some friends myself, but power/phone/internet service is spotty. From 75F yesterday, to tornados by night, to 45F downpours and high winds now. Possible snow flurries tonight.

Hello Kiltboy,
My family is good. We were several miles from the Tornado's path.
I should have put that in my post.
Power is still out in parts of Rowlett.
Also, some of the neighborhoods are closed.
I am hoping everyone is accounted for
in the affected areas.
Please pray for those who lost loved ones and those displaced
in Garland, Rowlett and Copeville last night.

Those who were wishing for a white Christmas around here are happy; those of us who have to work in it are swearing and wondering when it'll clear up.
Ten inches of snow on Christmas day, clear and cold since. It was 11F this morning, with snow-packed roads; decided it was a good day to stay inside on the elliptical instead of going out for a run.
