I don't know - If you are going to wear a cowboy hat, and a cowboy Bola, then why not cowboy boots. Sure it's a stretch, but it sort of grows on you? I think I like it. The alternative would be what? Tartan jeans?

Maybe not tartan "jeans", but I think a nice set of tartan trousers would look great with that outfit.
I'm like a lot of others here. To me, cowboy boots just don't look right with the kilt. It all seems a little too "Dale Evans" for me.

I think the guy in the ladies' mini kilted skirt and shorts needs to be taken to one side.
Even wearing a proper kilt backwards is better than that! Aaaaaargh!

It is an interesting look. Although those boots look great for riding I really not sure I'd like to try a long trail ride in a kilt. All in all a creative look, but not working for me.

Doesn't look that bad, except for the hose poking over his boots.

Those are some nice boots.
I think from the calves up, he looks great. It appears to be a nice mix of cowboy and celt. I'm not sure what foot gear would be appropriate for that, but I don't think boots are it.
